Abstract Submission

Abstract submission is open until October 31, 2026 and must be completed through the University of Évora’s Event Management System (Sistema de Gestão de Eventos-SGE) (see more detailed information below).

The abstract must be written in English and follow the structure and format of the following example: Abstract template.
Notes: Maximum 350 words.
The abstract should be submitted in .doc or .docx format.
Due to limited space for poster presentations, each participant can only submit one abstract. Please note that only abstracts submitted by PhD students are eligible for oral presentation.

Abstracts must be submitted in the same system as the registration for the XI PhD Students Meeting in Environment and Agriculture. When submitting, you should indicate the scientific area of your abstract: 1.Agricultural Sciences, 2.Biochemistry and Biotechnology, 3.Biology and Ecology, 4.Environment, Sustainability and Socioeconomic Development, 5.Food Sciences, 6.Veterinary Sciences and Animal Production.

To submit your abstract, please follow these steps:

1. Log in to https://sge.uevora.pt.
2. Select the “Submit abstract” (“Submeter resumo”) option in the side options on the right-hand side regarding registration for the X PhD Students Meeting in Environment and Agriculture.

Once submitted, the abstract will remain “Under Analysis” while it is validated by the Scientific Committee. You will receive notification of the outcome of the validation by email.
PhD students who submit an abstract will be notified by email, before the registration deadline, whether it has been accepted for an oral or poster presentation. All abstracts submitted by non-PhD students will be presented as posters.

Posters must be in English and printed in A0 format (vertical).

Prize for best poster
The prize will be awarded at the closing session of the meeting.
